Positively Susan is a new charity founded in memory of the late Susan Selkirk who died of breast cancer in 2016.
A SCIO (Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation) is the newest type of charitable vehicle available in Scotland. SCIOs are regulated by the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR).
Positively will raise money in various ways including, donations, fundraising events, sponsorships, sales from the online shop and many others.
It isn't, really. Money will be raised in exactly the same way as other charities. At the end of the financial year, the vast majority (not less than 90%) will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support, with the residual going to other breast cancer charities.
As we will be giving all profits to Macmillan (no less than 90%) and the residual to breast cancer charities, we will positively impact all the people these charities already do.
At the end of the financial year, all profits will be donated to cancer charities. The vast majority of this profit (not less than 90%) will go to Macmillan Cancer Support, with the residual going to breast cancer charities.
We can't say an exact percentage, but what we can say is that the running costs of Positively Susan will be very small. There will only be:
- website running costs
- costs for branded material for events (t-shirts, caps, running vests and the like)
- costs for purchasing branded stock and stationary for the online shop.

There will be no salaries or remunerations taken from Positively Susan whatsoever.
